Aguada Beach

Catching the eyes of the beach lovers, the beach’s highlight is the fort that stands on the cliff that faces the beach. Pristine and calm, beach is perfect to enjoy evening strolls and witness the sun setting down. You can enjoy variety of watersports here along with hanging out in cafes, getting massage and shopping for range items are some to do activities in this spot.

Baga Beach

The beach is located at the end stretch of Calangute beach. Baga is a buzzing beach as it gives visitors lot to enjoy and experience. An unbroken line of shacks overlooks rows of sunbeds along with line of motorboats often attached with paragliders is the ideal view of the beach during day time. 

Night here is filled with happening vibes enjoying the evening with drinking and cool music is the best possible way to immerse yourself in culture of the state. There are several restaurants and bar at beach and each one sees a swarm of crowds every night.

Calangute Beach

Calangute beach is the continuous stretch of Baga beach. To be surprised not even the locals know the separation of both beaches. Baga is slightly more picturesque, Calangute is an adventurist getaway. Apart from fancy crowd beach is more famous for its tempting seafood. Sunset here is worth watching, also the makeshift market here is the key attraction.

Chapora Fort

Built in 1617, fort was the watch post of the border. Today fort lies in ruins but offers a gorgeous view of Vagator and Anjuna beaches. The Portuguese are believed to have ruled over Chapora Fort for more than 150 years. It is picturesque fort with scenic views and rich history.

Dona Paula-   

Situated on the suburbs of Panaji, Dona Paula is famous place to visit among tourists. It is recognized as home for National Institue of Oceanography. It is known as lover’s paradise, you can choose to stay in this area and enjoy the special moments with your partner. 

The Dona Paula monument is located on small islet which is connected with mainland by a small bridge and quay. Evenings here are generally crowded and have a favourable climate to explore the place.

Mangueshi Temple

Reckoned to one of the largest temples in Goa, shrine is located in Mangueshi village in Pirol. The temple is 40-50 years old and is known to be incarnation of Lord Shiva. It stands for its simple and yet exquisitely elegant structure. Prominent festivals celebrated here are Ram Navmi, Akshay Tritiya, Dusshera, Diwali and Mahashivratri.

The Church of our Lady of Immaculate Conception

Built in 1541, this is reckoned to be the first church in Goa. It is a riot of heavy ornamentation. Believed to be a fine example of relatively simple architecture, the church stills boasts of two flanking altars left one dedicated to Lord Jesus Crucified and right one dedicated to our lord of Rosery. 

The church attracts lots of visitors for prayer and indeed this place cannot be missed to explore while being here. Christmas and feasts are the two festivals when this church comes alive in its true colour.

Anjuna Beach Flea market

The market is carnival in itself. Held every Wednesday the market is visited by expats, Indian tourists to locals. A market is a vibrant place where you can experience lots of things that keep happening till midnight. Earlier market was place for hippies to enjoy trance music and parties. However current market is no less than a fashion street where one can find great souvenirs, fashionable clothes and lovely artefacts.
