“Experiencing Dream Land” with Susai Antony

Traveling is not just reaching a destination by taking bus, train or any other mode of transportation it is beyond that. It is experiencing exclusive life dreams. Every travel has a unique book mark. I have named my experience as “DREAM LAND DESTINATION”.

I’m Susai, pursuing Master’s in Social work in Bangalore. I’m    basically from Tamil Nadu and settled in Bangalore. The only thing I’m passionate in my life is traveling. So far, I have travelled about 15 states and visited 86 tourist places in India. My dream land was always Mussorie, Uttarakhand a state in North India.

EXPERIENCING DREAM LAND

The first place where I headed was Mussorie the “Queen of Hills” which is 34 km from Dehradun, 290 km (180 mi) north of the national capital of New Delhi and is situated at an altitude of 2003 mts (+ 6500 FT) in the Garhwal hills, above sea-level. . Yes! It is a real queen of hill. The view gives an aesthetic aura. The green hills with snow sleeping on top of the queen and the curvy roads, from top gives peace of mind.

Secondly, I visited Himalayan museum. The place is well known for art and varli paintings and showcasing old equipment’s used by farmers and hunters. The monument is beautifully preserved. The guide helps the tourists in understanding the in and out of the museum displays.

Thirdly I visited another beautiful spot, called MOSSAY FALLS, it is about 13 km from museum. I took a walk the narrow road with one side full of tiny houses and other side complete view of hills and greenery and the sharp diversions from one road to another road gave an insight experience.

The falls had three sub falls. The mesmerizing view made me question my existence and made me wonder what I have given in return to mother-nature who gives us selfless peace.

In the evening the roads are filled with people. The narrow roads are occupied by fruit and vegetable vendors and local cuisines. As a foodie I loved the taste offered. Not only the views amazed me but cycling in the streets of Uttarakhand did, you can hire a bicycle at an affordable price. I hired a cycle for one hour paying 100RS. I went about 4 KM cycling. It was a mind-blowing scene.

If one has to get lost in the hills, Uttarakhand is the right place. I hope you enjoyed reading my experience.
