Trivandrum the capital of Kerala , which is also been called as the evergreen city of India is now one of the IT hub in Kerala.
I happened to visit this God's own country few months back on an official visit ..I had a day time and so thought to spend my day in this beautiful city . before I start my Trivandrum journey let me warn you if you are looking for a luxuries trip then you are in wrong page buddy !
So yeah ! this was the most economical trip , with the utmost beautiful nature !!
So I grabbed a Scooter for a day which cost me 500 busks .
and I started to the nearest beach called Shankumugham Beach , oops i forgot to tell you all...I am a big beach lover .. hence beach comes first every time .
Shankumugham Beach :
The first best part is it is very close to the airport ,The pure white sand and clear crystal water is a bliss to watch early in the morning without burning your pocket.
Museums :
I am very fond of Ancient art crafts and that excite me amount the next spot that is Napier Museum. This museum holds some rare and unseen collections of ancient ornaments, archaeological artifacts, idols, and ivory carvings etc. Then moving to Sree Chithra Art Gallery it is the collection of paintings by the well-known and popular artists like Raja Ravi Varma, Nicholas Roerich, and Svetlova. This art gallery exhibits the exquisite works from the Mughal, Rajput, and Tanjore School of Art. And at last I visited the famous Kuthiramalika Palace , it is filled with paintings, traditional furniture, and the collections of Royal family. All these 3 are the right place to experience Kerala's rich cultural heritage.
Entry fee
Napier Museum- 20 Rs/-
Kuthiramalika Palace - 100 Rs/-
Villa Maya :
A must visit place ,I am sure no Google will suggest you this as must visit place in Trivandrum but i am suggesting you this with my own experience . this place gives you such a rich look with fairy lights, foliage and fountains and of course mouth watering food . A must try place, Highly recommended.
Kovalam Beach :
About 5 pm in the evening I reached Kovalam beach ,as I don't wanted to miss visiting to the Light house I was rushing to this place coz I got to know that this gets closed by 6 pm . It was a slight uphill climb to the road, at the end of which, was a gate to the lighthouse . The view of the powerhouse from outside was just breathtaking . We explored the entire lighthouse complex, seeing the sea from every angle possible. now it was time to wrap up my trip and a sun setting view at Kovalam beacLight h is the perfect ending to this evergreen trip !!
