Jhalana Leopard Safari: My Honest Guide

If you are in Jaipur and tired of looking at forts, you need to visit Jhalana. Most people think you have to go to deep jungles to see a leopard, but Jhalana is right in the middle of the city. It’s small, raw, and honestly, the best place if you want to see a leopard without waiting for days.

Why Jhalana is special

The best part about Jhalana is that it’s a leopard’s kingdom. There are no tigers here, so the leopards are the kings. They are not shy. You can see them sitting on rocks or walking right next to your jeep.

Best time to go

• Summer (April to June): It’s hot, but leopards come out to drink water. Sightings are almost 100%.
• Winter (November to February): The weather is nice, but you need heavy jackets for the early morning safari.
• Monsoon: The park stays open (unlike other parks), and the jungle looks beautiful and green.

Safari Timings

There are two shifts:

1. Morning: Starts around 6:45 AM.
