How do I reach Kuari Pass?



First you have to Rishikesh, then you will reach Kuari Pass.  

  • By train: Reach Rishikesh by an overnight train, and from there, take a cab to Joshimath.
  • By air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, and then take a private car or taxi to reach Rishikesh in 30- minutes. 
  • By bus: The ISBT bus stand in Rishikesh connects to many cities with state-run buses. 
  • After reaching Rishikesh, you can take a state bus to take you to Joshimath in 7-8 hours with beautiful views keeping you company. ‍


Brief Itinerary of Kuari Pass


  • Day 1: You reach Joshimath and stay overnight in camps.
  • Day 2: From Joshimath, you drive to Tugashi and go on a trek to Tali, situated at 3,362 meters.
  • Day 3: From Tali, you trek to the beautiful Kuari Pass and head back to Tali. 
  • Day 4: From Tali, you will start your trek to the stunning Gorson Bugyal. After staying there for some time, you drive back to Joshimath.
  • Day 5: After reaching Joshua, you start your journey back to your destination.
