To witness the majestic waterfall’s beauty to the fullest, you should visit them in the months of September to January. It is considered the best time for travelers. You can take the bus from anywhere near and reach the Athirapally Waterfalls easily.

Soochipara Waterfalls

When you want to take a true dose of adventure, then make a trip to Soochipars Waterfalls. It is also popularly known as ‘Sentinel Rock Waterfalls’. It is located in the Wayanad District. It is at a height of 200 m and is one of the renowned destinations for travellers. Rock Climbing and trekking are some of the sports adventure people enjoy doing there. You should visit the place between the months of June to October. It is a three-tiered waterfall and is a good place for bathing and swimming. Later it joins Chaliyar River after Vellarimala Hills in Tamil Nadu. The name Soochipara has a special significance. ‘Soochi’ means Rock and ‘Para’ means needle. You will see a needle-shaped rock and so it is named Soochipara.

Vazhachal Waterfalls 

Vazhachal Waterfalls is just 5kms away from Athirapally Waterfalls and so you can cover both the beautiful places in one-go. It falls from a height of 150 m and remains one of the favourite picnic spots for travellers. Nature lovers and Wildlife enthusiasts also visit the places on frequent basis. The best natural view makes the place a perfect picturesque place. The place looks adorable after the monsoon season and hence you should plan your trip between the months of September to February. The waterfall undoubtedly is breathtaking and the vibrant environment will make you stop there forever. It is advisable to visit the place with your private vehicles so it is convenient for you to travel nearby places.

Meenmutty Waterfalls

 The meenmutty Waterfalls is located in Wayanad between the forests and is 300 m high. The place is a tourist spot and is a go-to place and people seek a lot of peace over there. It has a 3 Km trail which is suitable for trekking and adventure freaks enjoy it a lot. It is located 5 km from the Banasura Sagar Dam which is considered to be one of the largest dams in India. So when you visit the Meenmutty Waterfalls, you can also take a round of India’s largest dam. You can visit the place in the months of October and May. It is also a three-tier waterfall and the first one is safe for swimming with low depth.

Lakkan Waterfalls

One of the most-visited waterfalls, Lakkan Waterfalls is located 24 Km from Munnar. It flows in a downward direction gushing over rocks. You can enjoy the refreshing water and dip inside the pool. The crystal-clear clean water will refresh your mind and you will feel relaxed. When you visit Lakkan Waterfalls there are many other places near it that you should definitely visit. the Marayoor Dolmens and Eravikulam National Park are some of the famous tourist attractions and people often visit those places. The best time to visit Lakkan Waterfalls is between the months of October to January.
